چکیده

IntroductionPatients with small core infarction and salvageable penumbra are likely to benefit from endovascular treatment (EVT). As computed tomography perfusion imaging (CTP) is not always available 24/7 for patient selection, many patients transferred stroke centers CTP. We compared automatically measured infarct volume (NCCTcore) the non-contrast (NCCT) ischemic (CTPcore) CTP outcome of EVT clarify if NCCTcore measurement alone sufficient identify that transfer EVT.Patients methodsWe included all consecutive stroke-code imaged both NCCT at Helsinki University Hospital during 9/2016–01/2018. CTPcore volumes were calculated acute images. Follow-up (FIV) was 24 h follow-up evaluate efficacy EVT. To study whether could be used eligible EVT, we sub-grouped based on (>50 mL ≥ 70 mL).ResultsOut 1743 patients, baseline NCCTcore, 288 patients. Median time symptom onset 74 min (IQR 52–118), 24.15 (22.25–26.33). Baseline 20 (10–42), 4 (0–16), FIV 5 (1–49). Out 23 had 26 mL. performed similarly well in predicting large (≥70 ml).ConclusionNCCTcore a promising tool due cores imaging.

Comparison of admission perfusion computed tomography and qualitative diffusion- and perfusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging in acute stroke patients.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Besides classic criteria, cerebral perfusion imaging could improve patient selection for thrombolytic therapy. The purpose of this study was to compare quantitative perfusion CT imaging and qualitative diffusion- and perfusion-weighted MRI (DWI and PWI) in acute stroke patients at the time of their emergency evaluation. METHODS Thirteen acute stroke patients underwent p...

A comparison of Computed Tomography perfusion-guided and time-guided endovascular treatments for patients with acute ischemic stroke.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The role of CT perfusion (CT-P) imaging for the selection of patients with acute ischemic stroke who may benefit from endovascular treatment is not defined. The objective of this study was to determine whether CT-P-guided endovascular treatment improves clinical outcomes compared with standard endovascular treatment based on the time interval between symptom onset and pre...

Comparison between perfusion computed tomography and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in rectal cancer.

PURPOSE To compare pretreatment scans with perfusion computed tomography (pCT) vs. dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in rectal tumors. METHODS AND MATERIALS Nineteen patients diagnosed with rectal cancer were included in this prospective study. All patients underwent both pCT and DCE-MRI. Imaging was performed on a dedicated 40-slice CT-positron emission tomograph...

Identification of penumbra and infarct in acute ischemic stroke using computed tomography perfusion-derived blood flow and blood volume measurements.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE We investigated whether computed tomography (CT) perfusion-derived cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebral blood volume (CBV) could be used to differentiate between penumbra and infarcted gray matter in a limited, exploratory sample of acute stroke patients. METHODS Thirty patients underwent a noncontrast CT (NCCT), CT angiography (CTA), and CT perfusion (CTP) scan withi...
